The Mill Street Youth Center is a dedicated space for students in grades 6–12 from across the New Braunfels area. Whether you need a quiet place to study, want to try something new, or just hang out after school, this is your space. Membership is free with parent or guardian permission. All middle and high school students in the New Braunfels area are welcome.

We’re making history with a historic building. We’re bringing students back to a corner of New Braunfels that’s been the home of our community’s work to equip students for successful futures since 1855.

Our After School Hours are Monday–Friday from 4:00pm – 7:00pm, and our Out of School/Summer Hours are 10:00am – 7:00pm, with special events on evenings and the occasional weekend. Check out the full calendar of events for more information.

“A Huge Impact”

Even though I only started going in June, Mill Street has made a huge impact on my life. I love the staff because they are so kind, supportive, and fun to hang around. The center helped me meet new people and connect with others who have different perspectives, which really helped me grow as a person. It also brought my 13-year-old brother and me closer together by giving us access to the music room, which helped him discover his love for music. Best of all, it has given me amazing opportunities to serve my community, such as painting a piece of art that sold at the Tee Up for Teens dinner auction, painting faces at the end-of-summer party, and helping incoming sixth graders prepare for middle school.

“He Loves Mill Street”

My 6th grader LOVES Mill St! He has gotten to take part in so many great programs that he is interested in, like a bunch of different cooking and music classes. Right now he is on one for 3D printing, which has convinced him we need to buy a 3D printer 😜 and the Homework Drop-In is a HUGE blessing because my math skills are not the same math skills these kids learn today 🤣

The boy who hates math, coming out to the car with free pizza after a free tutoring session at Mill Street Youth Center, totally caught up on his math homework, and maybe telling his mom not to take pictures. 🤭 It’s a hard life. 🤪 We are incredibly grateful for this epic facility in New Braunfels. If your 6th through 12th graders haven’t checked it out yet, I would highly suggest you take a look at the opportunities they’re providing free of charge to our kids. From tutoring to workshops, life-skills classes, career planning, hobby exploration, wellness groups and a heck of a lot of fun especially over school breaks, this place is making a huge impact on our community one child at a time. ❤️
