Students will explore real-world careers in electricity and water systems with New Braunfels Utilities through hands-on, interactive sessions. Throughout the week, participants will learn what it’s like to be a lineman and water technician, explore how electricity is generated and delivered, and see how water systems are maintained, tested, and improved using modern technology like robotics. From operating bucket trucks and observing live demonstrations to conducting water quality testing in a lab setting, students will gain insight into the essential, skilled careers that keep communities powered and supplied with safe, reliable water every day.
